About the Role

We're looking for a passionate and innovative
R&D Specialist
to join our HEBE Beauty Lab in Jakarta You'll play a key role in developing, testing, and launching high-quality beauty formulas — from idea to finished product. This is an exciting opportunity to bring fresh innovation to life and shape the future of our beauty lineup.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement new formulas at HEBE's Jakarta laboratory — from sampling, testing, scale-up, to production quality control.
  • Lead the
    end-to-end R&D process
    , ensuring smooth transitions from lab to factory.
  • Build and maintain a
    raw material library
    , exploring new ingredients and technologies from local and overseas markets.
  • Drive
    innovation projects
    by introducing and transforming new formula technologies.
  • Conduct
    fundamental R&D
    with local partners, including ingredient composition development and custom ingredient creation.
  • Manage overall
    project timelines and lab operations
    , ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Collaborate closely with the
    domestic R&D center
    on market insights, consumer research, and factory transformation initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in
    Chemistry
    or related field from a reputable university.
  • 5+ years of experience
    in cosmetic R&D (skincare, haircare, or color cosmetics), with proven results in product development and ingredient research.
  • Strong background in
    fundamental R&D
    , including technology transfer and external collaboration.
  • At least
    2 years of team management
    experience with strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Familiar with
    R&D process structures
    , resource coordination, and system optimization.
  • Highly efficient, detail-oriented, and proactive problem solver with excellent communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple projects, assess risks, and find creative solutions.
  • Fluent in
    English
    (spoken and written); proficiency in
    Chinese
    is a strong plus.
