Category Manager

The Category Manager is responsible for leading the development and execution of category strategies that drive sustainable growth, maximize shopper conversion, and strengthen customer partnerships. The role leverages consumer and shopper insights, market data, and competitive intelligence to optimize assortment, pricing, shelving, and promotional plans across channels. Acting as a strategic partner to Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing, and Supply Chain, the Category Manager ensures category initiatives are executed effectively, deliver profitable growth, and build PepsiCo's leadership with customers and consumers.
Responsibilities
What you will be responsible for:
Develop and execute category growth strategies to deliver sales, share, and profit targets.
Optimize assortment, pricing, and shelving execution across channels to maximize visibility and ROI.
Lead customer and supplier partnerships through joint business planning and category negotiations.
Leverage insights and analytics (market, shopper, POS data) to identify gaps and innovation opportunities.
Monitor and report category performance vs KPIs, recommending corrective actions as needed.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Key account, and Supply Chain to align and execute category plans.
Qualifications
What you need to have:
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Business / Marketing / a related field
7-10 years of experience in Sales, Trade Marketing, or Category Management within FMCG, .
Drive category management initiatives through expertise in assortment planning, pricing strategy, shelving optimization, and promotional planning within FMCG.
Build and influence strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to achieve collaborative business outcomes.
Apply commercial acumen by analyzing P&L drivers, trade ROI, and budget performance to align category strategies with financial objectives.
Collaborate effectively with Sales, Key Account, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to deliver integrated and sustainable business results.
Lead multiple projects and processes, ensuring execution excellence while continuously improving tools and systems.
Interpret consumer, shopper, and market data (Nielsen, POS, retail panels) to generate insights and translate them into actionable category plans
Critical Experiences
Develop and execute end-to-end category strategies, including assortment, pricing, shelving, and promotional planning.
Engage directly in customer-facing commercial activities such as joint business planning, negotiations, and relationship management with key retailers or distributors.
Utilize shopper and market insights (Nielsen/IRI, retail audits, shopper panel data) to drive fact-based decision-making.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to deliver aligned and measurable outcomes.
