Senior SEO

Role Summary

We are hiring one Senior SEO and AI Search Specialist to own and scale our organic presence across Google and AI-driven search platforms. This role goes beyond traditional SEO. The candidate must understand how search engines and AI models ingest, rank, and surface information, including Google AI Overview and other AI answer engines.

This person will also design and develop an internal AI-powered SEO agent to systemize research, optimization, and monitoring across our brands.

This is a specialist role, not a generalist or junior SEO position.

Core Responsibilities

1. Technical SEO Ownership

● Perform and maintain full technical SEO audits

● Manage site architecture, crawlability, indexation, and internal linking

● Optimize Core Web Vitals, page speed, and mobile performance

● Handle structured data, schema markup, and entity optimization

● Resolve issues related to canonicalization, pagination, redirects, and log files

● Work closely with developers on SEO-critical implementations

2. Search Engine and AI Visibility

● Optimize content and structure for Google AI Overview inclusion

● Design content frameworks aligned with how LLMs extract answers

● Build and maintain entity-based SEO strategies

● Optimize for E-E-A-T signals across all owned properties

● Monitor how our brand and pages are referenced by AI platforms

● Actively test and refine strategies for AI-driven discovery

3. Content and Semantic Strategy

● Define keyword, topic cluster, and search intent strategies

● Guide content teams with SEO-driven briefs that prioritize ranking and AI retrieval

● Optimize existing content for semantic depth and clarity

● Identify content gaps based on search demand and AI behavior

4. Internal AI SEO Agent Development

● Design an AI agent that supports SEO workflows such as:

○ Keyword and topic discovery

○ Content optimization checks

○ Technical issue detection

○ SERP and AI visibility monitoring

● Work with internal teams to define requirements and usage

● Maintain and improve the agent over time

● Ensure the tool supports scale across multiple brands and domains

5. Monitoring, Reporting, and Insight

● Track rankings, traffic, and technical health

● Monitor AI Overview appearances and AI citations

● Provide clear, decision-ready reports for management

● Translate SEO data into actions, not theory

Required Expertise

This role requires proven, hands-on mastery in the following areas:

● Advanced technical SEO

● Google Search Console and log file analysis

● Structured data and

● Entity-based and semantic SEO

● Core Web Vitals optimization

● AI search behavior and LLM content extraction

● SEO for multi-domain or multi-brand environments

● Collaboration with developers and product teams

AI and Tooling Requirements

The candidate must have experience with or strong working knowledge of:

● AI-assisted content and research workflows

● Prompt design for SEO and content extraction

● SEO tooling such as Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, or similar

● Custom workflows using AI models or automation tools

● Building internal tools or systems, even if not as a full engineer
