The role requires the incumbent to manage the financial records, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and handle various financial reporting tasks.

The individual must be detail-oriented, experienced in accounting, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and ensure the accuracy of all financial records in compliance with applicable accounting principles.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports, providing data for decision-making.
  • Handle daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns.
  • Liaise with auditors and support all audit processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to improve efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to gather necessary financial data and support organizational objectives.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to working full-time at our Batam facility and managing responsibilities independently.

Requirements

  • A degree in Accountancy or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, with some years in a supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of Indonesian tax laws is a plus.
  • Prior experience working in a multinational corporation or regional role that involves coordination between Singapore and Indonesian entities.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is preferred. (To communicate with Indonesian colleagues)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to be stationed in Batam
