Assistant Funding Ops Manager

The Assistant Funding Ops Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team to produce accurate and timely reports and other life-cycle management requirements to funding partners that finance our consumer receivables loan book, and data reporting to internal finance teams.

This role involves managing communications with internal and external stakeholders to meet requirements from external lenders promptly, striving for operational excellence, and providing strong business acumen in identifying gaps within our funding needs.

An inclination toward analysis, problem solving and keen interest in navigating through complex structures is desirable for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that day to day operations are executed seamlessly, and delivering prompt solutions to fix issues within given SLA
  • Review all reports produced by Funding Ops team, ensuring accuracy and completeness for funding partners based on lender requirements, and to address any discrepancies promptly.
  • Life-cycle management through monitoring, tracking and ensuring compliance with funding partner requirements and covenants.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve existing processes and increase efficiency for the funding operations team.
  • Represent the Company in matters relating to government agencies and regulators
  • Operationalise agreements and deals structured by the Funding team
  • Provide support to local and regional stakeholders in new projects and financial/funding activities
  • Ensure that all funds and cashflows can be properly accounted for from source to final outflows

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting and Finance, Analytics, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Min. 8 years experience in Finance or Banking industry, with 3 years managing a team
  • Experienced candidates with prior experience in Banking / Treasury roles (especially with familiarity in consumer loan receivables) is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint and some experience with finance operations systems.
  • Good to have some experience in programming languages such as Python/SQL.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin would be a plus due to Chinese speaking stakeholders.
  • Keen to work in Fintech, with an interest in Finance and AI.
