Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Production Assistant Manager to join our team. The Production Assistant Manager will play a key role in overseeing the manufacturing process of our knitting and crochet products, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery. This position reports directly to the Production Manager and involves collaboration with various departments including design, logistics, and quality control.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Production Manager in planning and coordinating production schedules to meet customer demand and inventory targets.

  2. Assist the production Manager in  checking and delivery instructions to suppliers, to ensure adherence to quality standards and production timelines.

  3. Assist the production manager in monitoring production processes to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement, suggesting changes as necessary to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

  4. Assist Design Team with supplier sourcing and ordering in Indonesia and internationally.

  5. Collaborate with the design team to translate product specifications into actionable production plans, ensuring accurate material sourcing and allocation.

  6. Work closely with the procurement team to manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, optimizing supply chain logistics and minimizing production delays.

  7. Conduct regular inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality standards, addressing any issues promptly and implementing corrective actions as needed.

  8. Maintain accurate production records and reports, including production output, labor hours, and material usage, to support data-driven decision-making and performance analysis.

  9. Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement among production staff, providing training and coaching as needed to uphold best practices and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, or a related field preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience in a production management role, preferably in the textile or manufacturing industry.

  • Knowledge of knitting, woven and crochet techniques and processes is highly desirable.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Proven track record of implementing process improvements and driving operational excellence.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
