THE ROLE

This role is for a Senior Financial Analyst (Contractor – one year), based in Indonesia.

This is a role providing analytical support in the delivery of commercial analysis and financial compliance projects across local and global clients. Close collaboration with directors, consultants, and the analyst team is essential to ensure mediasense delivers consistently high-quality work within agreed timelines.

The role comprises a wide range of activities:

Commercial Analysis & Compliance

· Working with directors, consultants, and analysts in delivering commercial and financial consulting projects across multiple markets.

· Assisting in the preparation of the scope of work in pitch management.

· Provide support in communication with agencies to obtain commercial proposals, track submissions, and ensure information is accurate and complete.

· Analysing agency fee proposals, benchmarking costs, reviewing contract terms, and highlighting negotiation opportunities.

· Liaising with clients and agency teams to clarify assumptions, validate inputs, and support commercial negotiation discussions.

· Supporting the refinement of internal benchmarking tools, templates, and workflows to drive consistency and efficiency.

· Participating in financial compliance audits, including performing walkthroughs, reviewing supporting documents, and summarising findings.

· Organising working papers, data processing, documentation, and storing data in a structured manner upon project completion.

Scope Tracking & Reconciliation

· Creation of reconciliation templates to track client scope utilisation

· Collecting and validating data from agencies, identifying discrepancies, and obtaining clarifications.

· Preparing clear analysis of budget vs actual utilisation and identifying key drivers of variance.

· Highlighting findings, risks, and potential fee impacts in a structured and client-ready format.

· Tracking follow-up actions and supporting consultants in subsequent review periods.

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will have the following:

· Strong understanding of audit principles, financial controls, and commercial evaluation.

· Excellent analytical skills — able to structure data, identify patterns, and extract meaningful insights.

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Query, Power Pivot and PowerPoint; able to build robust, transparent analytical models.

· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly express commercial issues, findings, and practical recommendations.

· A positive, proactive mindset that balances speed with quality and accuracy.

· Able to work both independently and collaboratively across markets and time zones.

· Prior experience (2–3 years) in Audit, Management Consulting, Commercial/Financial Analysis, or Data Analytics.

· Experience in Advertising/Marketing industry, or working with regional teams, is an advantage.

· Demonstrates integrity, reliability, and strong organisational discipline.
