Reporting Line:
This position reports directly to the Maintenance Head

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 20 years of experience in instrumentation maintenance, preferably in the chemical or petrochemical industry.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills.
• Detail-oriented with expertise in Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software.
• Extensive knowledge of instrumentation equipment, products, and procedures.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), preferably MAXIMO.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Strong commitment to HSE compliance to support a zero-accident policy.
• Expertise in HSE alarm system configuration and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with automation and control systems (DCS, ESD, PLC, ITCC, MMS).
• Familiarity with engineering, construction, maintenance, and operations.
• Knowledge of CCTV, gas engines, compressors, steam turbines, and pump maintenance.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee instrumentation maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with HSE, regulatory, and international standards.
• Develop, implement, and manage instrumentation maintenance SOPs.
• Ensure plant equipment and assets are maintained efficiently to meet business requirements.
• Prepare and manage the instrumentation maintenance budget with cost control.
• Train and develop team members to align with company goals and job requirements.
• Assign and delegate maintenance tasks effectively within the team.
• Develop and implement instrumentation maintenance strategies and action plans.
• Supervise instrumentation team members and contractors to ensure compliance with HSE policies.
• Lead by example, demonstrating company values and work ethics.
• Track and report performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
• Maintain and update KPI & MAP Department objectives for the instrumentation team.
• Plan and execute maintenance activities for normal operations, startups, shutdowns, and turnarounds.
• Ensure the availability of critical spare parts and materials for continuous operations.
• Prepare monthly reports, RCA reports, fault reports, and lessons learned for senior management.
• Establish collaboration with vendors, contractors, and technical partners to enhance maintenance efficiency.
• Implement SMK3 (Occupational Health & Safety Management System) and SML (Environmental Management System) for a safe and eco-friendly work environment.
• Communicate and enforce HSE policies to employees, contractors, and visitors.
