About the Role

Celerates is looking for a Sea Freight Forwarding (Operation) Staff who will play a key role in overseeing end-to-end shipping and freight forwarding operations, and will be assigned to our client based in South Jakarta. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless coordination with port authorities, shipping lines, Customs officers, and other key stakeholders involved in export and import activities. You will also ensure all documentation, regulations, and operational procedures are handled accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards.

Job Requirements

  1. Minimum Diploma (D3) in Shipping/Maritime/Transportation, Logistics, or relevant certifications (IATA, FIATA, PPJK, Customs/Port Expert).

  2. At least 3 years of experience in freight forwarding services.

  3. Strong knowledge of shipping industry regulations, port operations, and handling procedures.

  4. Established network and relationships with port authorities and shipping principals at the national level.

  5. Excellent knowledge of Customs regulations and C-Document Customs Clearance.

  6. Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

  7. Available to join immediately.

Job Description

  1. Manage and oversee end-to-end shipping operations for export and import activities.

  2. Coordinate with port authorities, shipping lines, Customs, and shipping principals to ensure smooth operations.

  3. Prepare, review, and ensure accuracy of all customs and clearance documentation.

  4. Build and maintain strong working relationships with port authorities, vendors, and shipping agents.

  5. Ensure all freight forwarding processes comply with regulations and company standards.

  6. Monitor cargo movement from origin to destination and provide proactive updates to clients.

  7. Handle operational troubleshooting related to documents, regulations, or shipment issues.

  8. Prepare daily/weekly/monthly operational and customs reports.
