Job Description

  • Review, evaluate, and authorize legal contracts, agreements, and other relevant documents.
  • Liaise with headquarters on all legal-related matters.
  • Conduct legal research and provide analysis to support business decisions.
  • Take the lead in managing the company's legal function, ensuring full compliance with mining, labor, environmental, and licensing laws and regulations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements, including leasing, partnership, supply chain, vendor, and client contracts within the mining sector.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel for investments, joint ventures, and merger/acquisition activities.
  • Oversee potential legal issues, including dispute resolution, litigation, and arbitration processes.
  • Coordinate with government authorities and regulatory bodies such as the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Ministry of Environment, and Immigration Office.
  • Advise senior management on risk mitigation strategies to ensure smooth and compliant mining operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Law (preferably in Civil or Business Law).
  • Registered Advocate with valid PERADI certification is a strong advantage.
  • Minimum of 10–15 years of progressive experience in legal affairs, including at least 5 years in a managerial or director-level capacity.
  • Proven background in the
    mining, heavy equipment, or construction
    industries is highly preferred.
  • Excellent command of
    Business English
    (both written and spoken).
  • Strong understanding of legal frameworks, commercial contracts, and B2B/B2C business operations.
  • Highly communicative, detail-oriented, and well-organized.
  • Proactive, innovative, and performance-driven with strong problem-solving skills.
