Summary

The Senior System & Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the company's overall technology infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, and cloud environments. This role ensures operational stability, service reliability, and supports efficiency through automation and continuous improvement. The position also serves as a technical escalation point, manages incident and change processes, and oversees vendor performance to meet service-level expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Implement, manage, and continuously enhance IT infrastructure technologies to strengthen service capability and delivery.
  • Oversee daily operations of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, SAN/NAS storage, virtualization platforms, and cloud environments.
  • Ensure adherence to operational standards across Incident, Problem, Event, and Change Management processes.
  • Lead automation initiatives and manage monitoring systems, backup tools, and other infrastructure platforms.
  • Manage vendor and third-party engagements, ensuring SLA compliance and performance targets are met.
  • Serve as a technical expert for system reviews, project execution, and escalation handling.
  • Support infrastructure-related projects such as system upgrades, cloud migrations, and end-of-life hardware replacements.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication and timely issue resolution.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in implementing and managing virtual environments using Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) methodologies.
  • Deep technical understanding of server hardware, networking, SAN/NAS storage, and Linux operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Ansible).
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across technical teams.
  • Experience in infrastructure upgrades, cloud migration, or modernization initiatives is an advantage.
