What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges and opportunities for leveraging data analytics within the supply chain.
  • Collect, clean, and preprocess large volumes of structured and unstructured data from diverse sources such as ERP systems, logistics databases, sensor data, and external APIs.
  • Apply advanced statistical analysis, data mining techniques, and machine learning algorithms to extract actionable insights and patterns from complex datasets.
  • Develop predictive models to optimize demand forecasting, inventory management, procurement strategies, and transportation/logistics planning.
  • Design and implement data visualization dashboards and reports to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to deploy scalable data infrastructure, implement data governance policies, and ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in data science, supply chain management, and technology trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members on data science methodologies, best practices, and tooling.

What You Will Need:

  • Proven experience (2 years) as a Data Scientist or similar role, preferably in the supply chain or logistics industry.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, SciPy).
  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis, data mining, and machine learning techniques, including regression, clustering, time series forecasting, decision trees, and neural networks.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Metabase, Tableau, Power BI) and proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Familiarity with supply chain management concepts, such as demand planning, inventory optimization, logistics optimization, and network design.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications in data science or supply chain management are desirable.
