- Build and maintain long-term partnerships with high-value clients by providing attentive service, understanding their unique needs, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction that foster repeat business.
- Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team by setting clear KPIs, nurturing talent, and creating an environment where everyone feels supported to achieve their best.
- Conduct ongoing research into industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting cold chain logistics so that your team remains informed and responsive to market developments.
- Partner with operations, warehousing, and transportation teams to ensure seamless service delivery and optimised asset utilisation through open communication and shared objectives.
- Manage the sales budget responsibly by preparing accurate revenue forecasts, analysing P&L data, and ensuring profitability targets are consistently met without compromising quality or service.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet client requirements for temperature-sensitive handling across frozen and chilled products.
- Monitor client feedback regularly to identify areas for improvement in service delivery while maintaining strong interpersonal connections with stakeholders.
- Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to enhance brand visibility and build valuable connections within the cold chain community.
What You Bring
The ideal candidate should possess specialised expertise in managing temperature-sensitive products under strict compliance standards—a skill highly valued by clients who depend on safe transport of perishable goods. - Minimum 5+ years of proven sales experience within supply chain management or logistics—ideally focused on warehousing or distribution—demonstrating your dependability in delivering results.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field which provides you with foundational knowledge relevant to this sector.
- Strong proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), as well as CRM software that enables efficient workflow management.
- Deep understanding of cold chain requirements including temperature-sensitive handling for frozen/chilled goods along with comprehensive knowledge of food safety compliance standards.
- Exceptional communication skills that allow you to connect effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Outstanding negotiation abilities which help you secure mutually beneficial agreements while maintaining positive relationships built on trust.
- Proven people management skills demonstrated through previous experience recruiting, mentoring or guiding teams towards shared objectives.
- Ability to analyse market trends and competitor activity so that strategic decisions are always informed by up-to-date insights.
