Mentari Intercultural School Jakarta is looking for Library Assistant with the following details:

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the day-to-day running of the library, including cataloguing, shelving, and circulation of books and other materials.
  • Support students and teachers in locating and using library resources effectively.
  • Maintain the library's physical and digital collections, ensuring materials are organized and up to date.
  • Assist in promoting a love of reading and research through displays, book recommendations, and library programs.
  • Help monitor student use of the library to ensure a welcoming and productive environment.
  • Coordinate with teachers to prepare and manage resources that support classroom projects
  • Support the librarian in administrative and inventory tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's degree (preferably in Library Science, Education, or related field).
  • Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using library software and basic computer applications
  • A passion for books, reading, and working with young people.
  • Previous experience in a school library or educational setting is an advantage.
  • Willing to join in December 2025 and currently located in South Jakarta (Cipete).
