Pricing Actuary

  • Assist in the development, validation and maintenance of pricing models and rating algorithms.
  • Perform data extraction, cleaning, and analysis (claims, exposure, premiums, risk factors) to inform pricing decisions.
  • Monitor pricing performance and key performance indicators (KPIs); identify deviations from planned assumptions and propose recommendations.
  • Collaborate with underwriting, product development, finance, marketing, and other stakeholders to align pricing with business strategy and market conditions.
  • Document pricing assumptions, methodologies and changes; support governance and regulatory compliance where relevant.
  • Continuously learn and adopt new modelling tools, techniques (e.g., GLMs, machine learning), and data platforms.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Economics or related quantitative field.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills; comfortable with large datasets, statistical concepts and modelling.
  • Proficiency in Excel; some exposure to programming/data languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL) is a strong plus.
  • Good communication skills — ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders. Eagerness to learn, strong curiosity, self-motivated, ability to work in a team with guidance from senior actuaries.
