About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Automation & Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team at Formulatrix Indonesia. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced automation systems and electrical solutions for special-purpose machines that are essential to our manufacturing operations. Based in Central Java, this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within a dynamic and innovative company.

What you'll be doing

  • Analyze and improve existing production processes to identify opportunities for automation potential and industrial-grade standardization.
  • Design and develop electrical and control systems including PLC, HMI, and communication networks.
  • Conduct prototyping, testing, and commissioning of automation systems.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and standardization systems for electrical and programming components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate automation needs into technical and budgetary plans.
  • Learn and support mechanical (design, manufacture & fabrication) and OOP-based software programming when required.

What we're looking for

  • Diploma (D3) in Mechatronics, or related field (vocational graduates with relevant experience are welcome).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical and programming roles for industrial automation projects.
  • Strong expertise in industrial electrical systems, PLC programming, and automation control systems.
  • Proficient in reading and design electrical circuit diagrams, wiring layouts, and flowcharts.
  • Understanding of software and hardware integration between mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Strong Knowledge of industrial-grade component standards (CE, UL, ISO, IEC, etc.).
  • Familiarity with mechanical design (3D CAD) and OOP programming languages (C#, C++, Java, Python) is a plus.
  • Experience with manual and CNC manufacturing & fabrication is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, creative, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Good communication skills in English, both oral and written.
  • Willing to work in a dynamic, innovative and multidisciplinary engineering environment.
  • Applicants must be willing to work on-site in Salatiga.
