This role is onsite based in our Jakarta office.

Get to Know the Role

We're looking for Backend Engineers to join our team. You'll have the chance to work on multiple app clients with various programming languages. Identifying problems and having the initiative and skills to solve them is crucial in this role. This is a hybrid role based in Jakarta. You will be reporting to an Engineering Manager.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Work closely with the product and design team to understand requirements, provide product feedback, own and implement the product from start to finish.
• Drive and participate in technical discussions with other engineering teams.
• Write code that is reusable, scalable and testable. Make sure products are delivered on time and with high quality.
• Collaborate with QAs to make sure all product requirements are met and the deployments are stable.
• Improve the codebase proactively. Propose and set better engineering solutions for the team.
• Be responsible and responsive during on-call duty. Help debug and troubleshoot production issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in building large-scale, highly available services.
• Good Computer Science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.
• Proficient with at least one language commonly used for backend services development (Go, C++, C, C#, Java, Python etc.), but willing to work on Golang.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, etc.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and experience with developing and deploying services on the cloud.
• Communicates effectively in English, coordinating seamlessly with people of varying cultural and language origins.
