-Full-Time English Teacher

Requirements:

  • Degree/diploma level qualifications, preferably in Teaching/Education/Early Childhood/English/English Literature/Linguistics/TESOL.
  • Must have the ability of a C1 Advanced Qualifications
  • Must have a strong command of the English Language.
  • Willing to learn new skills/methods of teaching.
  • An enthusiasm for teaching young children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work well with co-teachers and centre management.
  • The ability to operate with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Teaching experience is highly preferable.
  • University students working towards a degree/fresh grads are welcome to apply.
  • Can teach online and offline classrooms.

Responsibilities:

  1. Teach I Can Read Literacy Courses:

  2. Working with children between the ages of years old.

  3. Teaching pre-reading skills to children using the I Can Read system.
  4. Teaching reading and comprehension skills using the I Can Read system.
  5. Teaching writing skills, including grammar, editing and publishing.
  6. Teaching oral presentation and communication skills.
  7. Helping children develop social skills and positive classroom behaviour.

  8. Prepared to lead and manage centre events and projects.

  9. Conduct Assessments:

  10. Teachers will conduct initial assessments for all incoming students.

  11. Teachers will regularly assess students during classes to monitor individual progress.

  12. Communication:

  13. Teachers will maintain regular open communication with parents, through informal meetings, formal meetings, progreses and term reports.

  14. Teachers will keep attendance logs for all classes taught and update centre management when a student is ready for promotion.
  15. Teachers will complete the parents' communication book each week.

  16. Teachers will attend regular learning centre team meetings.

  17. Contribute to Student Growth and Retention:

  18. Increasing sign-ups - achieved through maximizing the assessment process.

  19. Minimizing withdrawals - achieved through maximizing the teaching process.
