Job description:

The QHSE Specialist is responsible for supporting and maintaining the quality, health, safety, and environmental systems of the company group. This role includes the development, implementation, and enforcement of quality policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, specifically within the freight forwarding operations for the oil and gas energy sector. The QHSE Specialist monitors personnel performance to ensure alignment with established quality standards and promotes a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Main Role of Position (Main Job Role):

• Implementation of effective Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) Management Systems and processes to reduce work related accidents and employees, visitors and contractors as well as reducing footprint on the environment and improving the quality of the delivered services.
• Manage all Quality, Health, Safety and Environment related matters, including periodical and/or statutory reporting around Marine & Offshore.
• Ensure the safety and security of the facility and its occupants
• Work with the management team to improve operations, activities and performance related to QHSE on a periodical basis
• Appointed as Company QHSE committee secretary and coordinate meeting as per HO requirement.
• Develop and enforce environmental management policies to minimize the environmental impact of freight forwarding operations.
• Monitor and report on environmental performance, ensuring compliance with local and international environmental regulations.
• Promote sustainable practices, including waste management, energy efficiency, and pollution control.
• Analyze Group Safety/Security Alerts, propose local action plan to management and report implementation to Company Group.
• Conduct incidents and accidents investigation.
• Coordinate audit program and conduct internal audits with Team
• Track corrective & preventive action implementation.
• Coordinate annual Management Review and the relevant report about HSE Rules in the company
• Other QHSE projects and duties as delegated by the Management.
• Carry out other technical and department operational related assignment on ad-hoc basis
• Prepare and coordinate with the related department concerning the QHSE related required data.
• Be the internal audit team for ISO, OHSAS and HSE around all the administrative related matters.
• Develop and conduct QHSE training sessions for employees to enhance awareness and understanding of quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Mentor and support team members in the implementation of QHSE initiatives, fostering a proactive approach to safety and quality management.
• Assist Management in Procedures, training, Project field operations supervision, Road assessment and vendor assessment related to QHSE rules

Job Qualifications:

• Min. S1 At least a Diploma in HSE related subject, Engineering/Science/Equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years working experience in Marine and Offshore related industry, especially in Health, Safety and Environment Management Compliance
• Knowledgeable in QHSSE regulations.
• Experience in organizing CSMS/CHESM certification
• In-depth knowledge of ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO and other relevant industry standards
• Good proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Excellent administrative skill.
• Strong Analytical thinking, problem solving skills, and have continuous improvement spirit.
• Have a strong work ethic, be honest, dependable and responsible.
• Proven ability to lead audits, conduct risk assessments, and manage corrective actions effectively
• Candidate should be able to work under pressure to achieve target
• Possess good work attitude, good communication skill, good report writing skill.
