Position : QC Manager - Garment Industry

Placement : WFO - Bali

Position Summary :

The QC Manager is responsible for overseeing all quality control and quality assurance activities in the garment manufacturing process, from raw materials to finished goods. This role ensures that all products meet company standards, buyer requirements and international quality standards. The QC Manager will lead the QC team, establish procedures and coordinate with production, merchandising and suppliers to achieve consistent product quality.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Quality Control Management

  • Develop, implement and maintain quality control procedures, guidelines and standards.
  • Ensure all raw materials, trims, fabrics and accessories meet buyer specifications before bulk production.
  • Monitor in line and final inspections, ensuring products meet required quality and safety standards.
  • Establish and enforce AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) standards for inspection.

2. Team Leadership

  • Manage, train and supervise QC supervisors, inspectors and auditors.
  • Assign responsibilities and ensure adequete coverage at all production stages.
  • Build a culture of continuous improvement within the QC team.

3. Process & Product Quality Assurance

  • Review and approve samples (Photoshoot, Pre-production, Salesman Sample) before bulk production.
  • Conduct in line audits during cutting, sewing, finishing and packing.
  • Ensure corrective actions are taken on defects and track root causes to prevent recurrence.
  • Implement systems to reduce rejection, rework and wastage.

4. Coordination & Communication

  • Work closely with Production, Studio and Technical teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Communicate with buyers/clients regarding quality standards, test reports and inspections.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for fabric, print, embroidery and accessories quality control.

5. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain records of inspection reports, test results and quality audit findings.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly quality reports for management review.
  • Analyze quality trends and recommend improvements.
