Quality Control Inspector

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Monitor product quality at various stages of production, from raw material and finished product. Collaborate with Brand and Factory team to ensure quality requirements are aligned.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Self-Development

a) Identifies and acts in developing the required skills and knowledge necessary in the performance of this job as well as to further career development.

b) Seeks feedback from immediate supervisor and colleagues to improve performance and skills.

c) Manages time to accommodate self-development activities.

1. Operations

a) Monitor and alert factory for the quality issues that may affect the quality integrity of the company.

b) Work and coordinate with all departments for any possible delays due to quality improvements in factory process.

c) Check & ensure PP samples & bulk production are compliant to buyer's quality standard accordingly.

d) Conduct PP meeting to discuss any possible issues that may arise during the production process.

e) Conduct in-line inspection on all orders allocated to the factory & to ensure that all in-process and finished goods conform to product quality specifications.

f) To review product specification in accordance with company's standard quality and performance criteria.

g) Execute Final & Pre final inspection by referring to a sampling plan to achieve the quality level of a whole lot.

h) Communicate effectively & make close coordination with the concerned parties to make sure that corrective actions are applied on all defective items.

i) Provide technical support to factory in relation to all aspects of product quality & safety.

j) Play as an effective communication channel to all related party for production /Quality information update.

k) Check and approve all color lab dip submission prior to being sent to customer for final approval.

1. Performance Management

a) Sets performance goals aligned to the Company's business objectives and targets.

b) Identifies areas for improvement by analyzing the root cause of production delays or issues and implementing corrective actions to improve overall productivity.

c) Documenting and reporting product or service quality levels.

d) Developing and implementing standards for inspection

e) Developing a workflow for product inspection.

f) Communicating with other team members to solve problems.

g) Following up with the appropriate channels when mistakes are found.

h) Training other quality control members & factories in all inspection processes.

1. Coaching and Training

a) Communicates with the brand QC and factories effectively and promptly.

b) Provide training to factory QC for brand quality requirements update.

c) Discuss with factory for defect findings during inline and final inspection.

1. Takes ownership and accountability in all inspection reports being executed.

2. Performs other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.

3. Maintains confidentiality between each brand.

• Years of experience in a quality assurance/control inspections role.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• College graduate or level preferably Textile and Garment Technology or other related courses.

• With 5 to 8 years of experience working in a garment manufacturing factory as a Quality inspector.

• Have experience in conducting Preproduction meetings with brand and factory.

• Have good technical experience in product knitting and sewing process.

• Outstanding reading comprehension skills, detail oriented, and organized.

• Excellent English communication both in verbal and written.

• Excellent time management skills.

• Know's how to use Pivot88 inspection portal

• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel, Power Point and Word.
