We're Hiring: QC Engineer – Steel Structure

Project Site: Steel Plant Construction, Marunda – Jakarta Utara

Company: PT. Winner Power Indonesia

We're seeking a QC Engineer – Steel Structure to join our project team in Marunda. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that all steel fabrication and erection works meet the highest quality, safety, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Quality Control: Inspect steel materials, verify mill certificates (SNI, ASTM, AISC), check dimensions and storage conditions.
  • Fabrication Monitoring: Oversee cutting, welding (SMAW, GMAW), drilling, and assembly; validate shop drawing compliance; inspect welds (visual & NDT).
  • Site Installation Checks: Supervise erection methods, ensure alignment, bolted/welded connections, and monitor lifting activities.
  • Non-Conformance Handling: Identify defects (e.g., weld cracks, misalignment), issue NCRs, and follow up on resolutions.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain inspection records, support QA/QC audits, and ensure standards compliance (SNI , SNI , SNI 1726:2019, AWS D1.1, AISC, etc.).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related field.
  • Min. 3 years of QC experience in steel structure/fabrication.
  • Strong understanding of ASTM A36, A500, A572 and JIS G3101, G3106, G3444.
  • Skilled in technical drawings, measuring tools (calipers, gauges, theodolite).
  • Familiar with NDT methods (UT, MT, PT); CSWIP/CWI or NDT Level II preferred.
  • Good communication & coordination with teams and stakeholders.
  • Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
