We are looking for Drafters (All Levels)

Company Description

Wavetech is a maritime consultant company. We provide comprehensive engineering and consultancy services to the marine industry and shipyards, supporting every stage from concept design to vessel delivery.

Role Description

  • Create detailed technical drawings based on engineer specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Update drawings based on feedback from engineers or clients.

Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a Drafter or in a similar technical role; typically 1–3 years for Junior positions, 3–5 years for Mid-level, 5+ years for Senior Drafter Roles
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD, and familiarity with 3D modeling tools .
  • Strong math skills and ability to calculate dimensions, material needs/BOQ/BOM, and production constraints.
  • Bachelor's degree, diploma, or associate degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high-level accuracy in creating and revising technical drawings.
  • Good time management skills with ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for reporting and documentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, incorporating feedback and direction from engineers, architects, and project managers.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards, and building regulations is preferred.
  • Experience in ship design office and/or shipyard is a plus
