Position Summary

Terra Drone Indonesia is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional Senior Drone Engineer to join our team in a diverse technical and operational role. This position combines research, hands-on hardware maintenance, training, and customer interaction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting product development and operational excellence through systematic testing, team audits, pilot training, and ongoing technical maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain drone systems for agricultural and industrial applications.
  • Operate and test drones, ensuring performance, safety, and compliance with regulations.
  • Program and configure flight control systems using software such as QGroundControl or Mission Planner.
  • Assemble, solder, and troubleshoot electronic components and drone parts.
  • Lead projects and manage timelines to ensure successful delivery of drone solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new technologies and improvements.
  • Provide technical support and training to field teams when necessary.
  • Ensure all drone operations adhere to safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the drone industry.
  • Proven experience with custom-built drones, DJI Agriculture drones, and XAG drones.
  • Proficient in using and programming flight control systems (e.g., QGroundControl, Mission Planner).
  • Skilled in soldering, assembling, and troubleshooting drone electronics.
  • Certified drone pilot by a recognized aviation authority.
  • Strong innovation, problem-solving, and reliability skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Good time management and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and fast-changing environments.
  • Willing to work on-site and travel as needed.
  • Flexible to work nights and weekends when required.
  • Able to read, speak, write, and understand English fluently.
