About the company

Geekhunter is hiring on behalf of our client, an architecture and design firm based in Bali, Indonesia, specializing in creating innovative and sustainable structures that focus on using natural materials to build a variety of spaces, from homes and hotels to schools and event venues.

Job Responsibilities

  • The Senior Interior Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing and delivering innovative design solutions for architecture and interior projects. This role requires strong skills in design development, technical detailing, and the ability to translate ideas into high-quality outcomes.
  • Developing interior design concepts that align with client needs and project goals.
  • Preparing and coordinating design drawings and documentation across all project phases.
  • Ensuring quality and accuracy in design deliverables, including construction and production drawings.
  • Exploring and applying interior materials with a focus on bamboo, while collaborating with craftsmen during the sampling process.
  • Drawing inspiration from past bamboo design references and contributing to new styles and techniques.
  • Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams (architecture, structural engineering, MEP, landscape, etc.) to integrate design solutions.
  • Monitoring project schedules, ensuring deadlines are met, and maintaining consistency with design standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field from a reputable university.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in interior architecture design and build projects.
  • Proficiency in design and technical software: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhinoceros, Revit, MS Office, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, 3D rendering tools, and hand sketching.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with clients and diverse teams.
  • Proven experience in sourcing and documenting FF&E and selecting/documenting interior finishes.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and detailing.
  • Sensitivity to spatial experience and scale.
  • Responsible, proactive, flexible, and team-oriented.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver accurate, high-quality work.
  • Ability to review, coordinate, and oversee various drawings from other design disciplines.
