The purpose of the Finance, Accounting, and Tax Officer in an international school is to ensure the accuracy, transparency, and compliance of the school's financial operations. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring full compliance with local tax regulations and reporting standards.

Qualifications & Experience

●Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

●Certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent are a plus.

●1–2 years of experience in finance, accounting, and tax roles.

●Previous experience working with tax consultants is a plus.

●Comprehensive understanding of Indonesian tax laws, including VAT, income tax, and other applicable taxes, as well as experience in tax compliance and reporting.

●Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Accurate, Xero, or similar ERP systems).

●Ability to prepare, review, and reconcile financial statements and reports accurately.

●Meticulous in processing invoices, expense claims, and ensuring data accuracy.

●Excellent communication skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.

●Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Finance & Accounting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with school policies and accounting standards.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets, financial statements, and monthly management reports.
  • Assist in forecasting, cash flow management, and expense control.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, petty cash, and other financial ledgers regularly.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded correctly and supported with proper documentation.
  • Support the Finance Manager in preparing annual audits and liaising with external auditors.
  • Manage and update the school's accounting system to ensure timely and accurate data entry.

2. Accounts Payable

  • Review and verify supplier invoices, purchase requests, and supporting documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Process payments to vendors, service providers, and contractors in a timely manner.
  • Maintain vendor records and monitor outstanding balances to ensure all obligations are met.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to confirm receipt of goods and services before processing payments.
  • Prepare payment schedules and ensure proper authorization before disbursement.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and assist in month-end closing activities.
  • Respond promptly to vendor inquiries and resolve billing discrepancies.

3. Taxation & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local tax regulations (e.g., PPh 21, PPh 23, PPN, PPh Badan).
  • Prepare and submit monthly and annual tax reports accurately and on time.
  • Maintain organized tax records and supporting documentation for audit purposes.
  • Coordinate with tax consultants or authorities when necessary.
  • Stay up to date on changes in financial, accounting, and tax regulations affecting the school.

4. General & Administrative Support

  • Support management in developing and improving financial policies and internal controls.
  • Provide financial data and insights for decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Ensure confidentiality and integrity of all financial information.
  • Collaborate closely with HR, Operations, and Academic departments to ensure smooth financial processes.
