Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of the company's databases.
  • Manage database security policies and implement security features (e.g., Vault, TDE).
  • Monitor database access and user activity to detect suspicious behavior.
  • Develop and maintain database security strategies and technical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with standards (ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).
  • Collaborate with IT Security, SysAdmin, and Network Engineering teams.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in IT-related fields (Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.).
  • 3–5 years of experience as a DBA with a focus on Database Security.
  • Hands-on experience with database security features and SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK, QRadar).
  • Strong understanding of data protection, access control, and performance tuning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Certifications:

  • Oracle Database Security Certified Implementation Specialist
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) / Oracle Certified Master (OCM)
  • ISO 27001 Lead Implementer / Auditor
  • CISSP or CISM
  • Knowledge of Cloud Security (AWS, Azure, OCI) is a plus
