Job Description:

  1. Conduct market research to identify trends, product benchmarks, customer preferences, and competitive landscape in the cosmetic industry (including quality, design and pricing).

  2. Analyse customer feedback and sales data to gain insights for new product development opportunities.

  3. Responsible for developing new products for new launches and existing products including formulation development, product validation, raw material qualification, spec preparation, and halal/BPOM registration.

  4. Collaborate with RND team, suppliers, and internal teams to generate innovative cosmetic product ideas and concepts. Translate consumer insights and trends into actionable product features, designs and regulatory deliverables.

  5. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, manufacturing, and marketing teams to align product development efforts with brand guidelines and marketing strategies.

  6. Coordinate product testing and prototyping activities to validate designs, functionality, and quality. Gather feedback from internal stakeholders and panelist to refine product iterations.

  7. Including formulate name, unique selling point, brief for copy on packaging, product claims, for product launching and conduct training to the internal team on overall product knowledge.

  8. Oversee quality and safety testing products and ensure the formulas are ready for mass production, also do conducting inspections for each batch of received products.

  9. Establish and maintain strong relationships with local and overseas vendors, optimize formulations, and improve product quality including pricing.

Requirement:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field preferred.

  2. Minimum 2 years of experience in R&D, preferably in healty and beauty (skincare and beauty brands)

  3. Keeping up with market trends, both local and international, regarding products, ingredients, and consumer needs

  4. Proficiency in scientific research methods, formulation development, and regulatory compliance is essential

  5. In-depth understanding of skincare and cosmetic product development processes, including formulation techniques, ingredient functionality, and manufacturing methods.

  6. Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills required

  7. Flexibility to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
