API Integration Engineer

The Role

We're hiring an API Integration Engineer to own our ATS/HRIS integrations end-to-end: from designing secure REST APIs and webhooks to delivering certified connectors (e.g., Workday, Greenhouse, Lever) and partner enablement assets (Postman collections, docs, sample code). You'll translate client "we need an API" requests into clear, reliable integrations that recruiters can use without leaving their ATS.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

- Design and implement Prisma Integration Spec (v1) across environments (sandbox & production).

- Build and maintain REST endpoints (/orders, /packages, /reports, /documents) and webhooks (status, completion, adverse action).

- Implement OAuth2 client-credentials, HMAC-signed webhooks, idempotency keys, and retry logic.

- Ship hosted candidate flows hand-off (invite links) and optional document handoff (pre-signed URLs).

- Deliver results write-back (status + deep link + PDF + JSON summary) into ATS/HRIS.

- Produce developer assets: OpenAPI spec, Postman collection, sample payloads, code snippets, and a clean docs site.

- Work with partners (Workday/Greenhouse/etc.) on field mappings and certification checklists.

- Own observability (metrics, logs, alerts), webhook DLQs, and incident runbooks with clear SLAs.

- Champion security & compliance (PII minimization, audit logs, regional residency, ISO 27001/SOC2 practices).

Must-Have Qualifications

- 4–8 years building B2B integrations/APIs with modern stacks (Node/TypeScript, Python, Go, Java or similar).

- Strong in Workflow Automation (such as: n8n or similar), REST/JSON/SOAP integration, OAuth2, webhooks, HMAC signatures, and SAML/OIDC (SSO)

- Hands-on with cloud storage pre-signed URLs, file validation/antivirus, and secure document processing.

- Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger, Postman, and automated testing of APIs.

• Practical knowledge of event-driven design (queues, retries, idempotency) and observability (Grafana/ELK/Datadog).
• Excellent system-design and clear technical writing skills (developer docs, runbooks).

Nice-to-Have

- Prior work with ATS/HRIS (Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS) or HR-Open/HR-XML mappings.

- Background in eKYC/ID verification, security/compliance, or background screening workflows.

- Knowledge of Indonesia/Southeast Asia HR & data-protection contexts.

- Infra familiarity: Azure/AWS, containers, CI/CD, secrets management.

Success in 90 Days

- 30 days: Ship sandbox endpoints + webhooks with sample payloads and Postman collection; pass basic end-to-end order→report flow.

- 60 days: Deliver one live ATS integration (e.g., Greenhouse) with status + PDF + JSON write-back; publish docs.

- 90 days: Add document handoff and SSO deep links; implement dashboard metrics and alerting; start Workday adapter.
