  • Prepare and coordinate with his subordinates for all Work Instruction and operating guidelines and ensure accurate implementation thereof.
  • Prepare historical data for each machineries.
  • To ensure that all utilities facility are operated efficiently, smoothly, are reliable and available in accordance with production requirements.
  • Make short and long term plans with clear  action plans for the operation of the section under his responsibility in order to meet specified requirements
  • To ensure and control Material requisition such as: chemicals, Salt, MFO and Solar are always available at minimum stock.
  • To ensure and control all the utility consumption such as: steam, chemicals, Shell, MFO, Solar and Water are within budget in daily basis and coordinate with Maintenance Clerk.
  • Prepare Monthly Utilities consumption with the detail reason if the consumption over budget.
  • Provides, sets and reviews/evaluates regularly the standard of operation procedures and makes appropriate changes in the system and procedures if required to improve equipment performance and minimizes costly down time/break down.
  • Attends promptly the breakdown equipment, prepares a detail analysis of the root cause of the problems and makes correction and corrective action required to solve the problem and report to his superior.
  • Participates in the evaluation of process problems and coordinates with Maintenance group in recommending correction and corrective action required related to instrument parameter.
  • Establishes and implements operating procedures consistent with good engineering practice to assure peak equipment performance and high quality product at minimum cost. Initiates and implements timely countermeasures to bring back the sections under his responsibility to normal conditions during upsets and when abnormal conditions occur.
  • Plan, implement and follow up training program for his subordinates in order to maintain and improve their technical competence.
  • Prepares and submit to his superior all reports required regarding the status of all activities related to the operation.
  • Closely coordinates with Mechanical & Electrical/Instrument section concerning the status of spare parts and consumable required for maintenance and repair also to ensure the Spare parts / Auxiliaries are available if anytime requested, especially for Power Plant Shutdown.
  • Coordinates with other sections of maintenance concerning stopping, starting and performance testing of the plant equipment to ensure smooth operation of the plant.
  • Performs and carries out any duties as may a required and instructed by his superior.
  • Creates working atmosphere that encouraging his subordinates to do works with willingness and enthusiasm.
  • Inspires and motivates his subordinates willingly like to take any required action to prevent any unscheduled stopping of the plant equipment.
  • Develops and maintains a program to improve knowledge, attitudes and skills of his subordinates in order to enable them to achieve and to apply the maximum of their capabilities.
  • Trains his subordinates to apply the logical thinking proves in making judgments' and decisions during trouble shooting of any problem to prevent any delay in the repair of the plant equipment.
  • Organizes and provides necessary support to his subordinates to ensure that all work schedules and quality will meet within standard.
  • Leads and directs his subordinates to implement company rules and safety regulations and conduct investigation whenever infractions or offenses are incurred by his subordinates
