Job Description

  1. Responsible for designing, planning, and optimizing DWDM/OTN transport networks for ZTE XLSmart projects.
  2. Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for optical transport technologies (DWDM, OTN, ROADM, CDC-F ROADM, coherent optics).
  3. Develop end-to-end optical network solutions, including topology design, capacity planning, wavelength assignment, protection, and grooming.
  4. Provide technical support during proposal, PoC, and technical clarification with customers.
  5. Conduct network audits, performance tuning, and fault analysis to improve efficiency and reliability.
  6. Collaborate closely with IP, Core, and RAN teams to ensure seamless end-to-end service delivery.
  7. Prepare design documentation (HLD/LLD), BoQ, and technical reports for project implementation.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or Physics.
  2. Minimum 5+ years of experience in optical transport network design and solutions (DWDM/OTN).
  3. Proficient with major vendor technologies (ZTE, Huawei, Ciena, Nokia, Infinera, Fujitsu).
  4. Strong knowledge of ROADM, WSS, EDFA, coherent transmission, GMPLS, and NMS tools (e.g., U2000, NetNumen).
  5. Capable of performing optical power budget analysis and capacity planning.
  6. Experience delivering large-scale backbone, metro, or long-haul transport network projects.
  7. Excellent communication and coordination skills with the ability to lead technical discussions with customers.
  8. Fluent in English (written and verbal).
