Head of Business & Operations (Multi-Business: Media, Education & Sports)

This position is designed for a senior leader with strong experience in the media industry who will oversee the business and operational performance of three integrated companies: a media venture, an education unit, and a sports/padel business. The role ensures strategic growth, operational excellence, and cross-unit alignment so the holding can scale efficiently.

Job Description :

Strategic and Business Growth

Responsible for driving the growth strategy across all business units, with a primary focus on the media company. This includes identifying new revenue opportunities, developing commercialization strategies, and ensuring each unit aligns with the overall corporate direction.

Operational Excellence

Designs, implements, and optimizes core operational processes across media, education, and sports units. Ensures all workflows, SOPs, and service standards are efficient, scalable, and consistent. Establishes operational controls and risk mitigation frameworks.

Performance Management & Reporting

Oversees performance indicators for revenue, costs, productivity, and service delivery. Produces data-driven insights and reporting dashboards to support strategic decision-making. Ensures timely and accurate reporting to the Managing Director.

Cross-Functional Leadership

Leads and coordinates cross-unit teams to ensure execution of company initiatives. Builds synergy between the media unit and the other two businesses by creating integrated plans, communication structures, and collaborative workflows.

Launch & Implementation Readiness

Manages operational preparation for new initiatives such as media platform launches, content programs, and commercial partnerships. Ensures readiness across people, processes, technology, and vendor management.

Requirements :

Strong understanding of:

  • Media monetization models and content distribution
  • Audience development and digital engagement
  • Operational design (SOPs, SLAs, workflow mapping)
  • Budget planning and financial performance tracking

  • Cross-functional project management

  • 5–7 years of experience in the
    media industry
    (digital media, content creation, broadcasting, publishing, creative agency, or social-media-led businesses).

  • Proven track record in
    business operations and business development
    , ideally in multi-business or fast-scaling environments.
  • Strategic mindset with strong execution capability.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence across teams and stakeholders.
  • High adaptability in dynamic, fast-paced media environments.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
  • High ownership and ability to operate independently.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Media & Communications, Management, or related fields. Master's degree is an advantage.
