We are looking for a
Lead IT Developer
to guide and elevate a product engineering team within a fast-paced retail technology environment. This role is ideal for someone who writes clean, scalable code, mentors developers, and ensures every feature—from concept to production—lands with precision. You will balance the demands of legacy systems while shaping modern, future-ready architecture.

Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership

  • Own technical design decisions, architecture direction, and code quality across multiple modules.
  • Lead solutioning for
    POS, OMS, ERP
    , store mobility, e-commerce, and other retail technology platforms.
  • Break down business requirements into actionable technical tasks with clear estimations.
  • Conduct code reviews, uphold engineering standards, and enforce best practices.

Delivery & Development Oversight

  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Product Owners on sprint planning, release timelines, and development roadmaps.
  • Ensure deliverables are completed on time with proactive follow-ups and early risk identification.
  • Lead technical grooming sessions, sprint reviews, and release readiness discussions.
  • Coordinate with QA and DevOps teams to ensure smooth builds, automated testing, CI/CD processes, and stable deployments.

Architecture & Problem Solving

  • Evaluate technical approaches and recommend scalable, long-term solutions.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues, system bottlenecks, and integration challenges within retail workflows.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for architecture, APIs, data flows, and store-level processes.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product, UX, Store Operations, and Business teams to translate ideas into executable tech solutions.
  • Manage and collaborate with vendor development teams to ensure alignment with internal engineering standards.
  • Support UAT activities, pilot rollouts, and critical store deployments.

People Leadership

  • Mentor junior and mid-level developers, fostering growth, discipline, and strong engineering habits.
  • Conduct technical assessments, provide training guidance, and support team capability building.
  • Promote structured problem-solving, clean code culture, and responsible innovation.

Qualifications
:

  • Strong hands-on experience with
    retail technology ecosystems
    (POS, ERP, OMS, WMS, Loyalty, Microservices, E-Commerce).
  • Proficiency in:
  • Backend:
    .NET Framework
  • Frontend:
    React / Angular
  • Databases:
    SQL / NoSQL, MongoDB, Oracle
  • APIs:
    REST, GraphQL
  • Integration:
    Kafka, RabbitMQ, and similar technologies
  • Solid understanding of integrations, middleware, and store-level deployments.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud platforms (AWS / Azure).
  • Ability to navigate technical complexity while delivering practical, store-ready solutions.
