About the Role

We are looking for an Executive, Accounting & Payroll to support our Shanghai operations. This role will be responsible for a broad range of tax, accounting, payroll, and compliance functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and smooth payroll delivery. The position reports directly to the Chief Accountant.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Reporting

  • Handle full set of accounts, journal entries, and month-end closing.
  • Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.
  • Maintain fixed asset register, reconciliations, and inter-company transactions.
  • Support annual budget planning and cost control.
  • Liaise with internal teams, auditors, bankers, and tax agents.

Tax & Treasury

  • Manage treasury functions including cashflow and loan applications.
  • Prepare and submit VAT, withholding tax, and corporate income tax reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements.

Payroll & Compliance

  • Process monthly payroll, pay slips, and mandatory contributions.
  • Manage timesheets, claims, allowances, and employee tax declarations.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, insurance, and trade union requirements.

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with relevant experience.
  • Strong command of English (written & spoken).
  • Excellent planning, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
