We're looking for a hands-on Head Chef
to lead a
quality-driven restaurant & café (40 seats)
in
Mauritius
— a safe, beautiful island with exceptional work-life balance.

This is a
leadership role
, not a corporate kitchen. You'll have real autonomy, a close-knit team, and the chance to shape a menu focused on
fusion, healthy, and wholesome cuisine
.

The Role

As Head Chef, you'll take full ownership of the kitchen:

  • Lead all daily kitchen operations with autonomy
  • Execute fusion & healthy dishes to a high standard
  • Control food costs and minimise waste
  • Maintain food safety and quality standards
  • Work closely with the owner to refine the menu
  • Create seasonal specials
  • Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff
  • Build a positive, collaborative kitchen culture

    – strong advantage if experienced

What We're Looking For

  • 5–7 years' experience
    as Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef
  • International kitchen exposure (strong plus)
  • Comfortable leading a
    small, hands-on team
  • Quality-focused, adaptable, and open to feedback
  • Non-corporate mindset — you enjoy being on the tools

Compensation & Benefits
