About the role

We are seeking a talented and proficient Mandarin Translator to join our team at PT Strange Tech Cikarang Indonesia on a contract basis. In this important role, you will be responsible for translating a variety of documents and communications between Mandarin and English, ensuring accurate and effective cross-cultural exchange. Based in our Cikarang Selatan, West Java office, this is an excellent opportunity to leverage your language skills and contribute to the success of our growing organisation.

What you'll be doing

  1. Translating a range of documents including business correspondence, marketing materials, technical specifications, and more from Mandarin to English and vice versa
  2. Ensuring the accurate, high-quality, and culturally appropriate translation of all content
  3. Liaising with internal teams to understand translation requirements and delivering projects on time
  4. Providing language support for cross-cultural meetings and events as needed
  5. Maintaining translation memories and terminology databases to promote consistency
  6. Staying up-to-date with the latest translation technologies and best practices

What we're looking for

  1. Excellent written and verbal proficiency in both Mandarin and English
  2. Demonstrated experience as a professional translator, ideally in a business or technical environment
  3. Strong research and problem-solving skills to handle complex or ambiguous content
  4. Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  6. Proficiency in translation software and other relevant technologies
