**Program Overview**

WRI Indonesia's energy program works to advance reliable, clean energy and reduce carbon emissions, while balancing the need for economic advancement. WRI Indonesia believe that sustainable development highlights the need for integrated approaches to finding solutions that are aligned with the challenge of achieving economic, social and environmental goals that are often interlinked. Therefore, the energy program aims to work across disciplines with the cities team, climate team and the ocean to combine low carbon technology systems, quantitative models, and other policy-making decision tools to achieve and support key national initiatives in Indonesia such as the acceleration of the achievement of 23% renewable energy targets and Indonesia net zero ambition.

One of our flagship initiatives is the Clean Energy Investment Accelerator (CEIA) which is co-led by Allotrope Partners, the World Resources Institute, and the U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory. CEIA is an innovative public-private partnership initiative that advances policy and financing frameworks to meet the clean energy needs of commercial and industrial energy consumers. We believe that as the largest energy consumer group, the commercial and industrial sector could use their buying power to drive energy transition through policy advocacy, business model and technology adoption. The CEIA focuses on key emerging markets across the globe including Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Colombia, and Mexico. CEIA Indonesia established a Working Group, consisting of energy large buyers from industrial and commercial sectors, and has been holding a series of dialogues to identify and refine areas for public-private collaboration and advance optimal solutions for corporate procurement of renewable energy.

**Job Summary**

The Corporate Energy Lead will play a leading role in implementing multiple energy projects related to corporate renewable energy. He/she will be responsible in setting up strategies to achieve the overarching goal of the projects which comprise of elements such as stakeholders engagement, policy formulation, capacity building, and technology implementation. In-depth understanding about energy issue is a must, and should be combined with critical thinking in demonstrating thought-leadership in the area. In daily basis, he/she are expected to lead and implement the project workplan through excellent teamwork within the energy team and with other teams in WRI, as well as continuously monitor the delivery of the project to match with WRI’s quality standard. He/she should have a great interpersonal skill to build and maintain strong relationship with key external stakeholders, especially private sector and government stakeholders. The Corporate Energy Lead needs to have strong commitment to implement WRI’s mission and values - intergrity, innovation, urgency, independence, and respect.

**Responsibilities**:
**Corporate Engagement (40%)**
- Lead communication and engagement efforts to business stakeholders in commercial and industrial sectors for the purposes of partnership development, research, advisory and technical assistance.
- Lead the development and the implementation of strategy to expand the CEIA initiative to involve more corporate buyers and more renewable energy procurement schemes to be tested and scaled up by corporate buyers.
- Maintain partnership with corporate buyers through day-to-day communication and regular convening activities.

**Government Engagement (30%)**
- Lead communication and engagement efforts to key government stakeholders relevant to clean energy topic for the purposes of partnership development, research, advisory and technical assistance.
- Lead the strategy development and implementation for policy advisory to the key government stakeholders, such as, but not limited to PLN and Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
- Maintain partnership with key government stakeholders through day-to-day communication and convening activities.

**Project Management (30%)**
- Lead the development and implementation of detailed implementation plan for project(s) on corporate renewable energy and governance
- Coordinate tasks and assignments with team members to efficiently execute the workplan
- Monitor projects’ deliveries in regular basis to ensure effective spending and outputs’ quality
- Lead team’s strategic discussions to problem-solve and build effective project planning, implementation, and monitoring
- Lead/contribute in proposal writing and reporting to donors
- Fundraising support to expand energy portfolios

**Qualifications**
- Legally able to work in Indonesia. Preferably based in Jakarta.
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Energy Economics, Energy Law, Natural Resources Management or related field of study
- Proven experience working in the issue of corporate renewable energy
