We have assisted more than 150 institutions with the management of recruitment channels, developing and managing academic partnerships, digital services, social media, and relationship building with international alumni.

**The Role**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with the Director, Southeast Asia to establish a strong Grok brand among external stakeholders, and engage with various stakeholders in the higher education industry (E.g., the development of the miXer Community in Southeast Asia).
- Help develop Grok’s role in the student recruitment ecosystem across different channels and help define “state of the art”.
- Assist the Director, Southeast Asia in leading Grok’s Southeast Asia operations, fostering a strong, positive organizational culture.
- Monitor regional compliance and the regulatory landscape to ensure local compliance.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement best practices in student recruitment and partnership development.Work closely with the Director, Southeast Asia, and Manager - Administration, to ensure facilities are professionally maintained, including identifying suitable office space, overseeing renovations, and arranging utilities, and other services, as applicable.

**Engagement Management and Team Oversight**:

- Provide professional and pastoral supervision for local staff.
- Foster a strong, positive work culture for a mixture of office and remote-based staff.
- Implement local staff training and development initiatives.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and induction of new staff aligned with client needs.Mentor team members, fostering their growth and ensuring a cohesive work culture.

**Person Specification**

**Essential**:

- Bachelor’s degree. Masters is desirable. A degree from a reputable university is an advantage.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a role in the higher education industry, public or private.
- Student recruitment and marketing expertise from within the HE sector, **especially the support of overseas HEI**to increase enrolment outcomes and brand awareness in SEA.
- Strong understanding or experience of the student recruitment landscape across SEA, specifically in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines (including agent management, TNE, academic partnerships, and school engagement).
- Deep knowledge of the higher education system of our client destination countries (especially UK, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, US, or Canada).
- Strong commercial acumen, and a proven track record of business development or sales.
- Excellent English communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience representing a foreign higher education institution or pathway provider.Experience in leading a team or coaching/ managing overseas-based staff is a plus.
