  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct reservoir modeling and simulation studies using industry-standard software to characterize reservoir behavior, forecast production profiles and reserves.
  • Develop and maintain reservoir models incorporating inflow control and water injection scenarios.
  • Liaise with the subsurface team to ensure that all GGRE knowledge concerning is available to the development team as and when needed.
  • Optimize the reservoir management strategies for all stages of the development and use dynamic modeling and other assessment techniques.
  • Utilize simulation software to predict reservoir behavior under varying operational scenarios, evaluate the potential risks, and optimize injection strategies.
  • Interpret relevant subsurface data to identify reservoir characteristics, fluid properties, and potential drilling locations.
  • Collaborate with geologists, geophysicists, drilling engineers, processing engineers, and production engineers to develop integrated reservoir management plans.
  • Evaluate and recommend enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques such as water flooding, polymer flooding, and chemical treatments to improve reservoir sweep efficiency.
  • Monitor reservoir performance through production data analysis, pressure transient analysis, and surveillance techniques to identify reservoir trends and anomalies.
  • Generate technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for reservoir development, well interventions, and field optimization initiatives.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in reservoir engineering to enhance operational efficiency and maximize asset value.
  • Adhere to company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards to ensure safe and environmentally responsible operations.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in reservoir engineering roles within the oil and gas industry.
  • Experience with field development planning, reserves estimation, economic evaluations, heavy oil, and unconsolidated reservoirs is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in reservoir engineering principles, reservoir simulation software (RFDtNav preferred), and data analysis techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex reservoir data and make informed recommendations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements, reservoir management practices, and industry standards (e.g., SPE, API).
  • Professional certifications such as Professional Engineer (PE) or Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) certification is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel to field locations and work in challenging environments as required.
  • Broad experience with oil & gas operations in Indonesia, preferably with an operating company, and an understanding of SKKMigas, PTK007 etc.
  • Be capable of writing and communicating in both Indonesian and English.
