Position Overview: The Lead Subsea Systems Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of subsea systems for deepwater projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Lead the technical development of custom subsea systems, working closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.
  • System Design and Development: Gather, document, and review customer requirements to define system architectures. Develop and verify system designs through planning, prototyping, testing, validation, and integration.
  • Project Management: Develop contracting strategies, generate contract scopes of work, and manage subsea system contracts from conceptual stages through execution.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure technical compliance with customer standards and company processes. Maintain a strong understanding of offshore safety standards and environmental regulations, including API, DNV GL, and ISO codes for subsea operations.
  • Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve technical issues from module to system level, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, environmental, and process engineers, to ensure cohesive project execution.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or Subsea Engineering. A Master's degree is advantageous.
  • Experience: At least 18 years of experience in oil and gas projects, with a minimum of 12 years in deepwater projects and 10 years in subsea control engineering. Previous offshore or subsea field experience, especially in commissioning and maintenance activities, is highly beneficial.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in subsea control systems, including hydraulic, electrical, and communication components. Familiarity with subsea trees, manifolds, umbilicals, and other subsea production systems.
