About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced Transportation Director to join our team at Grand Canyon South Rim. As a leader in the hospitality industry, we offer a unique opportunity to work in one of the most breathtaking national parks in the world.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee Transportation Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the Transportation Department, including In-Park Tours, Activities Desks, Livery, and Phantom Ranch operations.
  2. Supervise Staff: Supervise and support department managers, interview and select supervisory/management staff, and approve annual reviews and change of status requests for all transportation department employees.
  3. Ensure Guest Service: Demonstrate a high level of guest service skills, interacting with guests, assisting with problem resolution, and representing the company when communicating with clients such as the National Park Service.
  4. Manage Budgets and Vehicles: Prepare, oversee, and achieve the annual financial plan, as well as the annual capital plan for all areas, and ensure compliance with D.O.T regulations and requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as hospitality or transportation management.
  • At least five years of experience in a transportation management role, preferably in a hospitality or travel industry setting.
  • Proven track record of success in managing staff, budgets, and vehicle fleets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the company and interact with clients.
  • Possession of a valid Arizona driver's license and compliance with Xanterra's Company Vehicle Policy.
