We're seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Senior Field Sales Engineer to join our team at Equinix. As a key member of our sales organization, you'll play a critical role in selling our solutions to new accounts and expanding existing ones.

Job Summary

This senior field sales engineering position involves identifying customer business needs, challenges, and technical requirements, and mapping them to Equinix solutions. You'll be responsible for providing technical solution design expertise on colocation and customer cages to assigned Sales account executives, as well as analyzing situations and data on problems of moderate scope independently.

To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong understanding of Equinix products and services. Additionally, you'll need to demonstrate industry knowledge and familiarity with the competitive landscape.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Utilize expertise in Equinix products and services to deliver pitch on end-to-end solutions covering data center, interconnection, and digital services.
  • Lead data center tours, explaining the facility electrical and mechanical infrastructure capability and positioning Equinix Data Center.
  • Support moderately complex RFI/P/Q preparation as requested by Sales Representatives.
  • Develop all deliverables for the customer with minimal oversight from Sales Engineering Management and/or peers.
Requirements

The successful candidate typically requires a Bachelor's degree and possesses 5+ years of experience in a pre-sales or engineering role in a Data Center colocation profile. CDCP or an equivalent certification is preferred.
