WhereIsMyTransport is an industry-leading technology company and central source of mobility and location data for emerging markets.

We are looking for a Data Controller based in Bandung, Indonesia for a 2 week contract doing a data collection project. You play a vital role in reviewing and "cleaning" geospatial and public transport data, captured by Data Collectors in field. You ensure that the data being collected is of the best quality. and as comprehensive, as possible, before passing it on to the Data Processing team for final edits and quality control. Data Controllers should be passionate about improving access to public transport information in their city.
**Overview of key responsibilities**:
Survey Data Analysis
- Assist with data entry into databases by using information submitted through surveys and your knowledge of the city's geography and transport network to help build up a list of transport hubs and a public transport route list.
- Sort through survey responses in a timely manner. Critically think about the accuracy of information submitted through survey responses.
- Develop, in agreement with the rest of the field team, a consistent naming system to organise route names. Identify possible duplicated transport hubs or routes that may have been given different names, and rectify these.
- Plot transport hub locations onto a map to help visualise their geographic distribution across the city. Check for any areas in the city that may have been missed, for which transport hubs have not yet been identified.

Route Data Validation
- Use the WhereIsMyTransport tool suite to review, edit, clean and enrich where necessary public transport data captured in the field.
- Review information in the track overview and complete a "sense check". Interrogate the geometry / shape of a track (raw GPS trace), and only validate where the path taken is clear.
- Check the spelling and capitalisation of written data is correct as required as well as the attributes for each route track, including travel times, fares, etc. and confirm they make sense.
- Coordinate and communicate with the team as needed to query and check information provided is correct prior to validation.
- Ensure route tracks are validated in a timely manner and referenced correctly, preventing the build-up of a backlog of data to verify.
- Provide regular feedback to Collection Team Leads about the quality of data received by their team of Data Collectors, for continuous improvement and to ensure data collected meets company and project guidelines.
- Help adhere to the data collection plan. Manage time efficiently so that targets and deadlines are met.
- Use the map view of transport hubs and validated routes to identify areas of the city that may have been missed, for which transport routes have not yet been identified.

**Requirements**:

- Must be available full-time (Monday - Saturday) for the full duration of the data collection project. Please note that overtime may be required.
- Strong written and spoken English language and Bahasa skills.
- Computer literate and tech savvy, comfortable using custom tools and programmes.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office / Google Suite tools, with a good understanding of Excel and Google Sheets.
- Familiarity with geo-spatial relationships and orientation tools (Google Maps, Google Earth, ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.), map and image interpretation.
- Previous project management experience. Experience working with teams larger than eight people.
- A rich understanding of the workings and operations of the local public transport industry.

You are required to be in possession of the following:

- Android phone (Version 6 or higher) with GPS capabilities.
- Possesses own laptop with sufficient memory and processing power to run tools and software: ideally have a Processor:(5 fifth generation or higher - AMD equivalent also accepted) and Ram (16gigs or higher) with SSD drive.
- Most recent version of Chrome as browser.
