Legal Counsel

As a Legal at Traveloka, you will be working on exciting cases that challenge your creativity

**Your Missions**:

- Directly communicate with internal stakeholders (e.g. finance, products teams) on contract interpretation, negotiation and enforcement (e.g. commercial claims and guidance on performance of contracts) and provide clear and pragmatic legal advice to internal stakeholders on all legal issues affecting the business operations of the company;
- Attend meetings with the relevant government institutions;
- Assist relevant stakeholders on legal administrative filling, submission and/or reporting of legal data (e.g., license, periodic report, permit, approval, etc.);
- Monitor and report any regulatory update on a regular basis;
- Identify any issues in commercial agreements with the merchants or business partners;
- prepare and review the draft agreements also negotiate the key points with the counterparts;
- Directly participate in negotiation process with potential partners and/or vendors, where applicable;
- Identify policies that needs to be issued and prevailing policies which need to be amended by regulators for the benefit of the company business;
- Liaising and coordinating with law firms and corporate secretaries (where necessary);
- Prepare business Standard Operating Procedure and standard template for commercial agreements;
- Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure the fulfillment of all legal compliances and obligations; and
- Establish and maintain a good relationship with relevant government authorities, especially the Ministry of Tourisms and Creative Economy, Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of Communication and Informatics, Ministry of Trade, BKPM, and the Ministry of Health.

**Are you the one**:

- Holds a law degree from a reputable university, a master degree would be preferable.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in the field of tourism, e-commerce and cyberlaw, general trade, logistics, on-demand services, and transportation business, either as an in-house counsel or solicitor of reputable law firms.
- Has been exposed to engagement with high level and working level of relevant government officials.
- Has the ability to navigate through regulatory barriers and strategize to find a solution to overcome such barriers.
- Has the ability to work on a wide range of complex matters with minimum supervision.
- Has an excellent knowledge and understanding on legal aspects and contract drafting.
- Has good communication, negotiation, networking, management, and leadership skills.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Fluent in English, both oral and writing.
