**OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB**

To support and develop our existing finance operations and credit control strategy and procedures so as to ensure prompt collection and allocation of premiums, address slow-paying accounts and manage delinquent customers through an appropriate debt escalation procedure, thereby contributing to company income and profitability levels. In conjunction with the Policy Admin/Customer Service and Finance teams, ensure efficient billing, receipt and allocation of premiums so as to facilitate debt collection and timely credit control reporting as well as support internal and external stakeholders and clients with dealing and addressing queries relating to Finance Operations and Credit Control.

**KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Correspond with brokers & members in a professional manner for queries relating to commission disputes, outstanding premiums, reconciliation matters, complaints, etc.
- Able to effectively use OH+, CitiBank and the online credit card dashboards to resolve incoming queries independently.
- Work closely with regional Business Development and Customer Service teams to monitor and report upon overdue premiums.
- Identify trends and changes in payment patterns; propose and implement corrective actions to avert indebtedness. Track potential and future bad debtors and cash collection issues to ensure that each entity of the company maximises recoveries for their region.
- Develop, prepare and produce regular debtor reports for the management team, and suggest suitable provisions for bad debt/write offs based upon the ageing report/credit monitoring.
- In conjunction with the Credit Control Manager, support the Business Development and Customer Service teams to develop the credit management capability within the company. Ensure that our credit management techniques and practises are up-to-date and reflective of regional market regulatory requirements.
- Provide prompt, accurate and complete advice / responses to broker, customer and internal enquiries and correspondence so as to ensure that service levels are maintained.
- Strive for first time resolution of all queries.
- Maintaining ledger by reconciling accounts and resolving all differences quickly and accurately.
- To input accounting data into the accounting system with speed and accuracy e.g. posting payments into GL.
- Positively promote the company, its products and services and ensure that a professional image is provided at all times. Be aware of all core values of Now Health International and demonstrate them in each task that is carried out.

Compliance and Security
- Take responsibility for establishing and maintaining up-to-date personal and team’s awareness of all legislative, regulatory and Company-specific rules, policies and procedures related to performance of the role. Ensure consistent compliance with legal, regulatory and Company standards in line with underwriter requirements.
- Pay particular attention to the Company’s Information and Data Security policies when accessing and using all Company systems which may provide access to sensitive information assets, and strive to maintain the highest possible standards of information protection at all times.
- Take individual responsibility for accessing only the systems, records and information required to perform the role. Treat all data contained within those systems in a manner consistent with the Company’s Information and Data Security policies, and in line with the confidentiality clauses provided within the employment contract.
- Ensure any regulatory requirements relevant to the individuals role are met, include certain qualifications and CPD.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
- Credit control, sales ledger and reconciliation experience. Preferably gained within the international medical insurance or financial services sector.
- A sound educational background, qualified to degree level or holding relevant functional-specific qualifications.
- Exposure to LEAN / Six Sigma operational delivery methods is desirable.
- Proficiency in OH+ & Credit Card Merchant Dashboards.
- Excellent communication skills - business-level written and spoken English is essential. Additional local language skills are advantageous.
- Strong negotiation skills - able to build relationships with intermediaries, providers and customers to drive forward our credit control strategy.
- A high degree of IT literacy, including a solid working knowledge of intermediate Microsoft Excel functionality.
