**Procurement Specialist**
As the Procurement Specialist you will be responsible for leading the procurement and sourcing efforts, ensuring the acquisition of high-quality materials, furnishings, and products, including hard and soft furnishings, cabinetry, and other interior-related products, for our projects. Your role involves collaborating with suppliers, managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market trends.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Supplier Management**:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers, ensuring a consistent and reliable source of high-quality materials and products. Procure new suppliers, conduct thorough evaluations, and negotiate contracts to expand the range of available options for design projects.
**Procurement Strategy**:
Develop and implement effective procurement strategies aligned with project requirements and budget constraints. Source new materials and products, evaluate potential suppliers, and establish partnerships to enhance the sourcing portfolio.
**Market Analysis**:
Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and emerging products to make informed sourcing decisions.
Analyse market dynamics and competitor pricing to maintain a competitive edge.
**Quality Assurance**:
Collaborate with the Quality Control team to establish and maintain high-quality standards for sourced materials and products.
Implement and enforce quality assurance measures throughout the procurement process.
**Cost Management**:
Optimize costs through effective negotiation, bulk purchasing, and supplier relationship management.
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure adherence to budget constraints and cost-effective sourcing.
**Supply Chain Coordination**:
Coordinate with the project management team to align sourcing activities with project timelines and requirements.
Monitor and manage the supply chain to mitigate risks and ensure timely delivery.
**Documentation and Reporting**:
Maintain accurate records of sourcing activities, contracts, and supplier information.
Provide regular reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and market trends.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management within the interior design or construction industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- In-depth knowledge of materials, furnishings, cabinetry, sanitary ware, and other products relevant to interior design.
