As a Product Manager for Onboarding, you’ll report to Ariau and sit in the Experience & Growth team. XG team’s mission is to grow our active, long-term customer base by reducing friction to the product value. The onboarding team helps this by making it obvious and easy for customers/users to experience product value, whether by finding the relevant moments to expose them to new or existing functionality during the initial period of using our product.

You’ll determine how to communicate feature value and best influence users to experience it through rapid experimentation and product development. By doing so, we hope new customers can connect and relate to the product value ASAP, so they become productive with our products.

Beyond the product, you’ll also play a high-visibility, impactful role for the business by owning 100% of the Self-Serve GTM Motion for Micro and Small businesses as we gear towards Product-Led Growth while co-owning Sales Assisted GTM Motion for Medium and Larger businesses. You'll be working hand-in-hand with an extensive array of cross-functional teams, including Product, Sales, After-Sales, Marketing, Data, Compliance, Sales Operations, and more.

You’ll be responsible for building this team from 0 to 1 — from setting the strategy and roadmap to

getting your hands dirty with execution. To start, you’ll be responsible for identifying frictions and delivering quick-wins solutions across Mekari products, which means you’ll need to get buy-in across the broader product organization to ship and grow new active customers. However, if successful, you’ll grow to own our customers’ end-to-end new user experience customer journey.

After you come onboard, you’ll be interviewing dozens of customers, convincing leadership of new feature/experiment concepts, building with a skunkworks team, and then rapidly testing and evolving your solution. After you’ve proven the ability to drive our metrics, then you’ll switch gears into scaling mode, where you’ll double down on the levers you built.

Along the way, you’ll actively report on your progress and share your results with the organization. You’ll pass along the wins and own the failures. And if you succeed, you’ll be part of creating a best-in-class customer experience used by millions of customers in Indonesia.

You’ll be playing an instrumental role in building and growing the Onboarding product, taking on the following responsibility (not an exhaustive list):

- Lead the New User Experience product team
- Work with your engineering and design teams to ideate, build and optimize our end-to-end new User Experience customer journey by increasing product value and connecting customers to this value faster.
- Build a deep understanding of our onboarding and activation experiences, systems, processes — and how they all fit together. Be opinionated about how we take these further to make them best-in-class
- Own key product metrics for the onboarding and activation journey, such as new customer growth, activation rates, funnel conversion rates, and lead quality.
- Drive strong decision-making through quantitative results and A/B testing, qualitative research, and customer insights. It will be essential to balance conversion wins with customer UX quality.
- Further, our architecture initiatives focused on standardizing merchant data, experience, technology stack, and data infrastructure that power onboarding and activation journey.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Marketing, Sales, After-Sales, Legal, etc.) to accelerate the business while managing operational efficiencies.
- Do whatever it takes to make Mekari succeed.
