**Role Description**

The Security Coordinator is responsible for managing the overall day to day activities of the Site Security Team with the aim of delivering effective protective security services in accordance with all policies, processes and procedures relating to the delivery of Physical Security, Information Security Management and Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) obligations as instructed by the Security Management Team.

**Core Responsibilities**

**1. **Security Operations**
- To be responsible for the operational management, deployment and administration of the Security team.
- To ensure Security Department operational and administrative policies, procedures and instructions are fully complied with by security personnel.
- To provide such reports and data related to the activities and incidents of the Security Department.
- To be aware and ensure the Security Division quality assurance programme is effectively applied, monitored and achieved.
- To be responsible for all access control systems, coordinated in the control room.
- To have ownership and accountability for ensuring that a sufficiency of appropriately skilled resources are deployed each shift, to meet the professional obligations of the Security Division, together with the capacity to respond adequately to emergencies and spontaneous incidents.
- To ensure all incidents are reported as per the SOP’s.
- To assume immediate and personal operational responsibility for any potentially significant incidents or events including specifically fire alarm activation.
- To undertake and assist the investigation of criminal, disciplinary and other matters, as appropriate.
- To liaise with the emergency services, other relevant agencies when attending incidents or events, planned or organised, on the estate ensuring a co-ordinated and professionally managed approach to joint operations.
- To undertake initial information gathering in response to a bomb or other threat to Infinity
- To be responsible for the control, security and use of Company assets allocated to the Security Divison, ensuring any losses, damage or significant wear and tear are notified, recorded and rectified.
- To create and maintain external professional contacts and information resources, particularly with the local police.
- Deploy to sites and premises owned by the Company from time to time as directed by the HSCM.
- To implement and manage an appropriate Security Division contingency plan to meet prevailing circumstances.
- Conduct appraisals, absence management, supervision, retention of staff, discipline and welfare.
- To deputise and or stand in for the Site Security and Safety Manager when required.
- To lead and motivate the security team ensuring the ethos and core values of Pure emanate within their roles and responsibilities.
- Manage the administration and welfare of the site security team, including induction and continuation training, probation, and setting objectives during annual appraisals.
- Responsible for the rostering of staff and ensuring the site is staffed to contractual specifications, including appropriate holiday cover and managing staff absences.
- To report faults or defects whether security related or otherwise, to the appropriate person as specified.
- To maintain a working knowledge of all security technical systems in use on the site.
- Maintain their vetting status in accordance with BS 7858:2019.

**2. **Customer Service**
- Develop strong relationships with the customer and embed a culture of “Service Excellence” across individual teams.
- Regular meetings with customers across multiple sites, establishing good working relationships and enforcing the company’s security processes.
- Provide customer support and communication as required.
- Manage internal resources and vendors to meet customer timelines and deliverables.
- Respond to all problems and concerns and ensure compliance with company policies, and regulatory/legislative requirements.
- Ensure that all SLAs are being met.

4. **Vendor and People Management**
- In conjunction with the Admin & Facilities Manager, manage employees and directly employed contractors.
- Work with the internal and external team leaders to manage, direct and coordinate the activities of employees or contracted personnel or third parties providing services or performing work on site.
- Direct internal teams and assign, monitor and evaluate safe work responsibilities and capabilities of employees and contractors; ensure adherence to safety requirements and prescribed procedures.
- Qualify vendors and implement the company’s procurement policy, process and procedures, including tendering projects, using RFPs, purchase orders, and cost tracking templates.
- Track vendor performance against contracts and SLAs.
