**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s overall business objectives, assess and advise on the financial implications of strategic decisions.
- Implement best practices across the Company, reflecting where necessary in updating and enhancing the Company’s existing SOP’s.
- Provide financial forecasts and work with executive leadership to set financial targets.
- Oversee the accounting function, particularly the new ERP Odoo accounting system implementation, ensuring alignment with management reporting and budgeting.
- Lead financial restructuring to support the company's growth in current and future development projects, leveraging the existing organisational framework and preparing it for future growth.
- Build the finance team cohesion, foster leadership development, encourage career growth, a culture of continuous improvement all within the company's culture.
- Lead and implement best practices in financial accounting (including tax, transaction management, PR/PO/AP) and introduce necessary change management (including any required SOP’s).
- Review, advise and refine where necessary other processes, systems, and strategies to maximise operational efficiency while enhancing the flow of financial information within the organisation.
- Manage the implementation of new systems in a timely and efficient manner to support the future growth of the Company.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and comprehensive reporting of financial performance.
- Prepare financial statements in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Report financial results to the board of directors and stakeholders.
- Identify, assess, and manage financial risks, including operational, regulatory, and market risks.
- Develop and oversee the company’s risk management policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Manage the company’s capital structure, including debt and equity financing.
- Optimise the use of capital by evaluating investment opportunities.
- Oversee investments and asset management strategies.
- Oversee fundraising initiatives and manage relationships with investors, banks, and financial institutions.
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
- Manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
- Develop a financial reporting framework for both ongoing operations and projects, ensuring clarity in management reports for operations.
- Ensure budget management is aligned with the company’s financial goals, both for ongoing operations and new development projects.
- Continuously model and monitor financial aspects of projects, providing advice and adjustments as necessary.
- Establish and enforce internal controls to ensure the accuracy of financial data and compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
- Develop and advise on an internal organisational structure that integrates future projects and finalise any necessary strategic contract negotiations with key partners.
- Collaborate with IT and accounting teams to oversee the Company’s ERP and systems implementation processes, ensuring alignment the operational needs of all projects, and core financial and management reporting.
- Work with key operational departments to ensure that management reporting needs are met in a timely and accurate, and necessary task are performed to ensure the strategic direction of the Company is achieved
