Team Introduction
We are a global tech company committed to driving innovation, growth, and positive impact. Our team in Public Policy and Government Relations (PPGR) plays a key role in ensuring that our products meet regulatory standards and align with the needs of the communities we serve. We are currently seeking a specialist to join our team, focusing on the social media/user-generated content (UGC) vertical for the Indonesia market.
Role Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our platform’s compliance with social media and UGC regulations in Indonesia. You will collaborate with internal teams, engage with sectoral regulators, and ensure that our products are compliant with local regulations and aligned with global standards. The role will focus on content moderation, safety, and compliance across our social media platforms.

**Responsibilities**:

- Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with social media and UGC regulations once they are issued, particularly in areas of content moderation, platform integrity, and safety. Work with the Regulatory & Advocacy pillar to monitor and assess regulatory changes in the Indonesian social media/UGC landscape, ensuring our platform’s content moderation and safety policies align with local laws and global standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant sectoral regulators, especially the Ministry of Communication and Digital, to stay ahead of emerging regulations and influence policy discussions related to content moderation, platform safety, and compliance. Represent the company in regulatory discussions with regulators, industry associations, and relevant stakeholders.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work with the Regulatory & Advocacy pillar to provide clear updates and compliance guidance to internal teams on new regulations and compliance risks. Work closely with internal trust and safety, legal, and other related teams to integrate regulatory requirements into product development and operational processes.
- Incident and Risk Management:
Respond to regulatory inquiries and incidents related to compliance with content-related laws. Coordinate efforts with relevant teams to address any non-compliance issues swiftly and mitigate potential risks. Coordinate with regional and global teams to ensure a consistent approach to policy implementation.
- Product Review:
Conduct internal product and feature reviews for future launches in the Indonesia market to ensure alignment with local laws and regulations, and proactively mitigate any potential compliance risks.

**Qualifications**:
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in public policy, government relations, or regulatory affairs, with a focus on social media/UGC or technology platforms.
- Strong understanding of content moderation, digital safety, and compliance issues in Indonesia.
- Proven experience working with sectoral regulators, particularly Kominfo, and a well-established network within relevant government bodies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a proactive, self-motivated approach.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess regulatory frameworks and provide operational guidance.
- Fluency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in e-commerce and/or related digital sectors.
- Familiarity with global content moderation practices and frameworks.
